Appliance Porn

Is their anything tastier than a Frigidaire Flair? We stumbled on this one while browsing Craigslist and are sorely tempted to buy it. It's $100 and in the TCU area of Fort Worth.

Flairs are GREAT, and I think you can still get parts and burners for it. We have two friends with Flairs, and they love theirs!
Did you get it?
(We got our Thermador on Craigslist! Lucky us!)

I would love to buy one -- and we have seen a few recently -- but there is no room in the kitchen. Of course, when did that ever stop me?

There's a Google Flair group that can provide expertise and they trade parts. Everyone wants the rotisserie add on and the burner that heated water/soup fast tends to burn out faster. Some parts I think are still stocked in regular parts places.

I could never put one in my tiny condo so I buy Flair or Frigidaire stuff glasses, place mats, medallion, and the menu/program/song book from a salesman's dinner in the UK in the Thirties. Cheaper but you still have to find room.

I found the site looking for a pic of a brown Flair as a friend has one she hasn't pulled the trigger on installing it.

Oh and a Yahoo vintage appliance group. I had no idea people collected old washers/dryers or dish washers and lots of vacuum cleaners (well, I do have three vintage ones).
