  • Danish Modern Broyhill "Brasillia" Credenza (pictured) - $350: I'm nuts about the Brasilia line. I'd snap this up in a second.

  • Sears Mid Century Danish Modern HiFi Sterio - $450: Cool, but too expensive.

  • Classic 1950's "Baumritter" Mid Century Swivel Chairs! - $495: Very cool and would play nice in an eclectic interior.

Anyone Want To Buy A Funky Table?

I'm trying to sell this table on Craigslist. This 1960s Mid-Century Modern trestle coffee table was purchased from a high-end estate in West Fort Worth. The table is in the manner of Charles Hollis Johnson and the lucite has been completely restored by a Dallas furniture restorer using a chemical process. It is absolutely pristine and you will not see another table like this. Dimensions: Glass top is 4 1/2 ft long x 2 feet wide x 1/2 inch thick. The lucite base is 3 feet, 7 inches long x 2 feet wide, 16 inches high. Price is $750, but mention you saw it on this blog, and I'll give you a 10 percent discount.

    Extreme Cool Alert!

A very cool Mid-Century Drexel green leather sectional is available on Craigslist -- right now! I think I saw this at an estate sale recently and I loved it. One G is a little steep though.

    Dallas Craigslist Furniture Update

I haven't done one of these in a while and there's tons of cool stuff available:

  • Heywood Wakefield rattan set (pictured above), $225: Very cool! This four-piece set has a sofa, loveseat, and a chair set. Original cushions do need to be reupholstered but rattan is strong and sturdy and in good shape. Popular low style seating..very comfortable. Bottom seat supports are in place and still strong and sturdy.

  • MCM Bedroom set, $800: Set seems overpriced, but has a dresser with double mirror, nightstand and full-size bed (headboard/footboard/metal rails/wooden slats). Appears good condition.

  • MCM Dresser and Chest of Drawers: This is an antique mall thing: a dresser for $195 and a chest of drawers for $150. Kind of Danish Moderny.

  • Fun 50s Lamp: Great base and shade. A steal for $35.

  • Lamp with light in base, $80: I own a lamp very similar to this and I love it!

  • Danish Modern Lane Table, $50: I love this thing. I had Lane tables from this series in my house growing up. I may just buy this myself.

    Dallas Craigslist Furniture Update

  • Sofa, $250 (pictured above): They believe this couch from the 50's or 60's. It is 81" long overall and is 74" between the wood armrests, and 72" between upholstered arms. It is 34" deep with the back up and, best of all, it converts to a 42" wide bed.

  • Mustard yellow sitting bench, $50: This bench is 36" long and 16" wide w/ no tears or holes in the vinyl very sturdy.

  • Wooden side table, $25: The dimensions are 16"x16" square and is 17 1/2" tall.

  • Very groovy pair of retro yellow w/ white plastic back chairs, $85: These chairs have never been used and are from the 1970's. They have been sitting in a storage for years so the backing on them has formed some yellow spots. The backs come off easily so you could easily paint them any color you wish.

    Appliance Porn for Monday

My wife and I love old appliances -- ovens, ranges, fridges -- anything from a Mid-Century kitchen. We affectionately call this “Appliance Porn” because it makes you feel all tingly looking at it. (Oh, yeah). Here are today’s entries from Dallas Craigslist. Completely safe for work BTW:

  • Frigidaire Custom Flair Imperial range (pictured), $400 in Fort Worth: In the world of appliance porn, this is Bettie Page.

  • 1950s Wedgewood Gas Stove, $500: In Grapevine. Working, appears to be in good shape.
